Dear To Me was created during a period of experimentation and exploration. I wanted to keep pushing my technique — layering, blending, and allowing the background to carry its own quiet motion. The muted tones of gray and violet were built up slowly, creating an atmosphere that feels both calm and unsettled.
Once again, the poppies return — a recurring symbol in my work — painted with a sense of intimacy and memory. Much of the foliage and texture were shaped using a canvas knife, lending the piece its tactile energy and rawness. Dear To Me reflects a balance between structure and spontaneity — an evolving conversation between color, movement, and emotion.
