First Light explores the beauty of an oncoming night sky — that quiet threshold where day begins to fade and the air turns electric. Painted in acrylic with the use of flow aid, this piece allowed the pigments to move freely, creating a smooth, storm-touched sky that contrasts with the wild energy of the flowers below.
There’s a sense of motion here — a moment between stillness and surrender — where the flowers seem to dance against the shifting light. This work reflects my ongoing fascination with capturing nature’s duality: order and chaos, calm and storm, beauty and unrest.
