Unforgettable Evening was the first piece I painted immediately after Magic Night, and you can feel the momentum of that transition in the work. With this one, I moved further into a more fantastical direction—experimenting with new blues, hints of green, soft touches of pink, and swirling patterns that pull the sky into motion.
The flowers remain at the heart of the scene, but this time they glow with a different kind of presence. There’s a cosmic energy running through the whole piece, a pull toward something otherworldly. I let myself lean into that feeling, drawing on the spirit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night while still letting something entirely new emerge.
This painting marked a shift—more intentional, more celestial, and a step deeper into the landscapes and imagination I felt unfolding. I sold the piece as well, a reminder that these dreamlike nights resonated with others too.
